Harris Lebus was at one time a
household name. Many homes had
Lebus furniture. Those that did not own
any pieces, certainly wanted to, with
some going on ‘HP’ schemes (hirepurchase)
to buy furniture. For the best
part of the 20th century, the name
‘Lebus’ meant quality and affordable
furniture.
